About ONAQO — An AI Engineering Company | ONAQO

WE ARE ENGINEERS
WHO HAPPEN TO
WORK ON AI.

That distinction matters to us. AI is the material we work in, not the reason to do the work. What we sell is judgement about what to build, and the engineering discipline to make it survive being used.

OUR STORY

Started because of the gap between a demo and a deploy.

Everyone working in this field has watched the same thing happen. A capable team builds something genuinely impressive, presents it to enthusiastic stakeholders, and then it quietly does not ship. Not because the model was wrong — because nobody had answered who reviews the low-confidence cases, where the data comes from on a Tuesday when the pipeline fails, or what happens when the model is confidently incorrect in front of a customer.

ONAQO exists to do the boring half. The half where the answer has a source attached, the exception has an owner, the deployment has a rollback, and someone is measuring whether the thing still works six months later.

We are not a large firm and are not trying to become one quickly. Small teams with direct client contact produce better systems than layered ones, and we would rather turn work down than staff it thinly.

The interesting question was never "can a model do this". It was "what happens on the day it gets it wrong".

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Six positions we will argue for.

HUMAN + ARTIFICIAL
A model can be confident and wrong. A person has to answer for it.

So we design for the handoff. Every ONAQO system reports how sure it is, shows what it used, and knows when to stop and ask. Automation where the cost of being wrong is low; assistance where judgement matters; and a written line between the two.

Drawing that line is the most important design decision in an AI project and the one most often skipped. We make it explicitly, with you, and we write down who owns the outcome on either side of it.

HOW WE THINK & HOW WE BUILD

Working habits, not values on a wall.

DISAGREE WITH
ANY OF IT?

Good. The engagements that go best start with an argument about what should be built. Bring the version of the problem your team actually argues about internally.
